We are actually planning the Germany trip for this winter break (for my daughters' bat-mitzvah celebration trip), I was choosing between flying to Dusseldorf and traveling to Holland/Belgium (we've seen it before but without kids) or checking out something new completely.
I think we are deciding on Munich and that famous castle (that I can't pronounce:-)), but have not yet purchased the tickets.
As for caviar and other Russian deli stuff, big cities have everything under the sun, but we live in the area with low immigrant population, so they bring what sells...
