Back home we eat out only on special occasion (Mishka (hubby) hates to pay for food that he can cook better at home:-) due to total lack of time.
We have friends over or going to friends houses on the weekend, that's when I get a full meal:-)
None of the supermarkets here have bakery that makes fresh bread from scratch, 2 fancy ones have an oven and they bake bread from frozen.
That was the best part of our trip - daily fresh loaf with butter that I think topped all other food:-)
BTW, should thank you for beer tip - we did find the beer that I liked in Belgium (not Krick though), but Eric was in heaven - he tried a different type daily while Mishka enjoyed his. I think Golden Dragon (from Bruges) was the best he enjoyed.
